R.I.P. Blitz ~November 2010-October 2012~

So I come home today and I walk through the door.  I plop my stuff one the ground by the door and I was thinking about my hamster Blitz.  Right about the time when I was about to go and check on him in his cage in the living room that was just around the corner, my mom yells for me real nicely and tells me to go sit on the couch.  I go and sit down thinking that I'm in trouble or something and then I see her walk in with my hamster's carrying case and it had a little teeny box inside wrapped in medical tape.  She had taken him to the vet.  We had taken him last Tuesday because he was loosing fur and he had these bumps all over him.  They said he had mites and that he might have cancer.  They gave him a shot and antibiotics and we hoped he would get better.  Giving antibiotics for over a week, today comes around.  Over the week, he had lost more fur and the bumps had scabbed over.  We were supposed to take him on Tuesday, but the vet is expensive and we couldn't afford it until today.  I didn't know that my mom was going to take him to the vet so I didn't expect this to happen.
The cancer had gotten really worse real quick and they had to put him down.
I expected him to die sometime soon, but I'm still crying.  I tried to brace myself and it didn't work.  This just really sucks ass.
So the vet gave us this little clay like stone.  It says B L I T Z across the top and it has his little footprints on it.
I'm sitting here with the little box he came in on my lap trying to stop myself from crying.  If I would've known today was the day I would've wanted to say goodbye.
